Earth Hour Brunei 2013
5:25:00 pmYesterday was date day with M so our agenda was of course, Earth Day at the stadium. We went for dindin first at Gadong Properties. See..we always have this thing where we ask each other where do each of us want to eat and it's always heated when we start to say 'Manasaja.'
Like, seriously.
Funny how it was not that heated when we asked ourselves these dindin questions when we just started dating. Hahah. I guess we were just holding it in.
Seriously holding it in.
I had no appetite last night so I just opted for dimsum and that made him grumpy cause:
a) I originally said I won't be eating and he doesn't like to be the only one eating.
b) I said I wanted to eat at Ideal after he ordered and paid for the food.
Hehe..Sorry wah okay?

Look at that face? So menyamal, so mine! Hahah..
So around 8 we arrived at the stadium and well, I was excited! So there were quite a number of people who were there..I mean it was not that jam packed like the HBT U-21 finals (by a large margin) but there were quite.
I was so jealous seeing some of the people wearing a full-on Earth Hour memorabilia! The shirt, the bracelets, the badge!
And their top knotted bun ala cute koreans.
Just joking.
So there was a countdown for 8.30 and everyone were asked to gather around this sort of Borneo shaped light centrepiece? The lights on the stadium went off and then well all I can only see were the lights from the glowsticks, the lanterns and the street lights.

| THAT was actually my first time seeing a real lit lantern! I want to own one and fly them on my own! So bad! |
So for one hour M and I just went around the area and just experience the whole thing. We cerita-cerita of course and just had fun looking at the shenanigans people there had to offer. Hahah..At times, I just can't help but look up at the sky to see if the star are startling bright as it can ever be but..sigh, it didn't. Quite disappointed with that really but hey, atleast it didn't rain!
Me: Well..Okaylah..
M: Yeah..Me mau sini saja pasal it macam interesting..
Then I realised that it's not Domokun. Haha..Anyways Amazon box Robot thingy and the Star Wars teams were one of the highlights and I have to say the biggest one there is. Emm..Overall, well I was quite disappointed really. Why? Because I thought there was something to take in after the event (as I mentioned in my previous post) but there was none; other than the pictures to take and such, and just switching off the lights. I kinda wish during the hour they could inform everyone there what is saved with just this 1 hour of our lights switched off, what are the affects of the pledges that we may get into, what other things we can do other than switching it off and explain what is Earth Hour is all about. I mean it doesn't have to be for the whole hour like a talk or anything, just in passing like some tidbits. I mean M went there because it's interesting; that's it and I think there're more like that? So yeah, I just wished it was abit informative and let others understand the importance of such changes that they're making us imagine.
Me: *pointed at something far yonder* DOMOKUN!!! *runs*
